Aristopet Oral Antibiotic for Ornamental Birds (w/Tetracycline) 50g
A broad-spectrum antibiotic for the treatment of bacterial enteritis and diseases caused by tetracycline sensitive organisms in birds.
Directions for Use:
Restraints: NOT TO BE USED in food-producing birds.
Seek veterinary advice if psittacosis (Chlamydia psittaci) infection is suspected or if birds do not respond to treatment within 5 days.
Medicate the drinking water at the rate of 5g (1 measure) per 1 Litre of water. Freshly prepared medicated drinking water should be made available every 24 hours and should be the only source of drinking water during treatment. Treatment should be consumed for 3 to 5 days, or until after symptoms have disappeared.
100mL of prepared solution will treat 20 small birds (Canaries, Finches, and Budgerigars) or 4 large birds (Parrots, Cockatoos). Remove Calcium supplements (Cuttlefish, Grit, Nibbling Blocks, etc) for the duration of treatment as they reduce Tetracycline absorption.
