Free Range Layer is a nutritionally balanced feed to promote the health of laying hens, and the production of high quality eggs.
Manufactured from a selection of cereal grain, legumes, protein meals, molasses, vitamins and minerals and yeast metabolites. Essential oils from plants are included to offer natural protection against E. coli and Cocci, as well as improve palatability, and improve feed conversion efficiency.
Free Range Layer is designed for feeding to laying hens from the point of lay. If feeding to meat breeds to promote egg production we recommend Free Range Poultry Breeder.
Free Range Layer contains quality proteins derived from sources such as lupins, peas, canola and other vegetable protein meals. Used in combination, protein meals and legumes can deliver balanced quantities of essential amino acids, such as lysine and methionine, which are generally accepted as the limiting amino acids in production-focused diets.
Use of quality protein sources can help promote growth rates when compared to traditional “least-cost” formulations, which may include protein sources, such as DDG.
Free Range Layer does NOT contain animal derived protein meals, or antibiotics.
Free Range Layer should be offered on an ad-lib basis to hens and pullet from the point of lay. Always ensure animals have access to clean, fresh water at all times. Intakes will vary depending on other feeds offered, but will typically be at a level of 130 grams/bird/day. Small amounts of food scraps may also be offered
