CPS Backyard Layer is a nutritionally balanced pellet to promote the health of domestic laying hens.
Manufactured from a selection of cereal grain, legumes, protein meals, molasses, vitamins and minerals.
CPS Backyard Layer is designed for feeding to laying hens from the point of lay as a supplement where access to other feeds are available.
If feed is limiting, or if higher levels of egg production is desired we recommend CPS Free Range Layer, or if feeding to meat breeds to promote egg production we recommend CPS Backyard Poultry Breeder.
CPS Backyard Layer contains quality proteins derived from sources such as lupins, peas, canola and other vegetable protein meals. Used in combination, protein meals and legumes can deliver balanced quantities of essential amino acids, such as lysine and methionine, which are generally accepted as the limiting amino acids in production-focused diets.
CPS Backyard Layer does NOT contain animal derived protein meals, or antibiotics.
CPS Backyard Layer should be offered on an ad-lib basis to hens and pullets from the point of lay in conjunction with other feeds typically available to hens fed in domestic environments. Always ensure animals have access to clean, fresh water at all times.
Intakes will vary depending on other feeds offered, but will typically be at a level of 130 grams/bird/day.
